Happiness will never be found in the success of this world.
It will never be found in a certain place, in a certain face, or in a certain time.
No amount of money can buy it because rich or poor we still yearn for something greater.
No amount of materialistic items can ever replace the yearning for more.
No drink could ever quench the undying thirst for true happiness for true joy and for true fulfillment .
you could travel across the world in hopes of happiness but your heart will remain the same, yearning for the touch of its creator.
I know this but ive been learning how to practice it.
I am living my dream right now! I'm traveling the world helping people. It’s honestly what i have always wanted to do but through out the years ive placed all my happiness into this one dream thinking it would fulfill me
it isn't so.
Yes,Im here for a reason. I’m here to learn, to grow, to help, to minister, and to pursue the desires that God has given me for the missions field but im not here to be fulfilled or to find true happiness.
Looking to be fulfilled in anything but God is a total let down and a disappointment and ive come to realize that although I am here because God wants me here, i had unhealthy expectations of the race.
Expectations i wasn't even aware of
This is stupid, but i really thought traveling and being in ministry would be able fill me entirely,that somehow this dream would be the key to my happiness.
I cant believe i had these expectations!
I talked to my parents the other day and they told me” Your expectations arent reality” and they were right. They weren't, Fulfillment in life is found in God not in the ministry, Thats reality.
put your happiness in the Lord not in anything of this world. When you allow yourself to trust him to fill you, It happens!
There is no other joy, then the joy of the lord.
There is so much joy available to us but we have to stop placing our happiness in all the wrong things(including people).
It doesn't matter where you live, what you do for a living, who your married to, or what you can and cannot afford: Complete satisfaction in life is available in all circumstances and in all stages of life.
Because…..
The work that God gives does not fulfill, but the God that provides the work does.
I encourage you to place your Hope in the Lord. To dig deep, to pursue a relationship with him. I know it sounds weird and crazy that you could have a relationship with a God that seems so far away but its real and what i speak of is available to you.
