I'm sick of Christians dipping their toes in the water. Whatever happened to canonballing into the water. When you are a child you jump in. You don't see how the water feels. You don't stick a toe in and ease your way in. Heck no! You jump in and see how big a splash you can make.
So what happened to that faith. What happened to Christians making a splash? What happened to people selling all they have for the kingdom of God?
It's here. I see it. I see it in the 50 squadmates I have that left their comforts to trek around the world for 11 months. And most recently I see it in an American actor on "Two and a Half Men", Angus T Jones. This guy gave up status, gave up fame. And for what… to be ridiculed by the tabloids, to be called crazy, to walk alongside Jesus no matter the cost.
And why did he do this? To stop being lukewarm. To stop living a life of hesitancy. To stop contributing to the world instead of God's kingdom.
And I'm stinkin impressed. And pumped for it. Because Jesus is worth it. His kingdom is worth giving up $350,000 an episode.
HE'S WORTH IT!
Do you hear me?
HE'S WORTH IT!
Jesus Christ is worth jumping in. Canonballing into the biggest splash you can muster. We need to make a splash that soaks everyone around us. Soaks them in the love of Christ, the grace of Christ, the wonder of Christ, the adoration of Christ.
So dive in and soak everyone around you!
