So it's a new year and I'm so excited to see how the LORD works in the new year.
I spent the last week at CRU's yearly Denver Christmas Conference. We spend a week in Denver and hear from wonderful speakers to help bring around 1200 college students closer to God.
The whole week was amazing, but New Year's Eve was especially amazing. First at 7 o'clock sharp with all of us being on the 16th Street Mall went into the Tebow prayer stance for around 4 minutes. And we definitely got some attention which gave us a wonderful opportunity to talk with some of the people about how they viewed God and share the wonderful Gospel with them.
After evangelizing for a while we went back to the hotel and brought in the New Year worshiping our loving Savior; followed by an epic dance party.
There are so many things the LORD did during DCC, but I wanted to highlight a couple He did specifically for me.
First, I believe I caught a glimpse of heaven. To stand in the room with 1200 other followers of God simply glorifying Him with that the sole purpose. I cannot even put into words.
Second, I have stuggled with self-confidence issues for a while and one of the speakers said something to call out the men of the conference to stop going after looks but to simply look for a woman who emulates Christ and is pursuing the LORD. And (even though this sounds really conceited) I felt the LORD reassuring me that I am one of those women. God doesn't call me to doubt who I am in Him and I will no longer do that.
So basically since I was gone for so long I thought I would update you all. It's nothing profound but its part of the Father's story for me so it's worth writing.
