Well it’s been a long road since Dehradun. We spent a week in the mountains near Nainital just spending time with God and having a good time and then we decided to head south. So for about six days we patch worked busses and trains  all the way down to Ongole. On the way we stopped at the Taj Mahal which was kind of cool. But I mostly just enjoyed it cuz Benny didn’t  enjoy it 🙂 He doesn’t really like being a tourist. Actually the whole experience kind of sucked. The entire city of Agra is a big hustle, exploiting what is actually a pretty sweet land mark. So instead of enjoying a land mark we ended up pissed off at the world and bounced Agra after not even 20 hours. We got attacked by monkeys too. For the second time. It was definitely time to head south. We went to the train station and hoped on the first one headed south. The only car we could get on was the general class which was so packed that it was standing room only. So we sandwiched in the hallway between two cars and rode all night and into the next day. Around noon time, Nic made an executive decision that we should get off  in the next town. We were persuaded pretty easily 🙂 especially since I wasn’t feeling so good. It was a pretty small town that I really don’t even know the name of, but no sooner had we checked into a room and I was running up the stairs looking for a bathroom. Let me tell you it was not pretty. I felt like baseball catcher on that squatty potty. Throw up, diarrhea, throw up, diarrhea. So that was basically my life for the next day. Also running a pretty high fever. Thank God we got off that train. That would have been a mess. There was a toilet on the car, but there was pre biotic creatures growing in it, and I would have had to body surf the car just to get to it. Anyway, the next morning I was feeling a lot better so we hoped on a bus headed south. Three days and several buses later we made it to Ongole.

We met up with a missionary contact down here and have spent the last week out in the villages visiting churches and holding outreach services. It has been pretty good. We all would preach at least once a day and basically every one wanted prayer. It was a pretty awesome week. Draining though. The people down here are pretty hungry for truth. It’s a lot different then the northern states. So we are going to start heading north again up the eastern coast. Not real sure what God has in store, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough. MT
