Halleluiah! I just found a store that sells granola bars. Today is our day off so we are doing shopping, laundry, and other stuff. My team is partnering with a church in the slum area of San Juan, and we just got done with three days of revival services. It was pretty sweet. Nick Cameron and I each preached one of the nights. That was a new experience for me. Nick started off talking about the creation story the first night. Then Cameron and I followed the next two nights building off of the fall of man, and presenting the gospel. It was actually pretty fun.
I tell you what the local’s here LOVE loud music. The first night we got to our church on time not really knowing what to expect. It was pretty low key at first, saying prayers and stuff like that. Then a 10-piece band showed up with drums, keyboards, bass guitar, and the whole nine yards. Cameron leans over and says ” dude we are in a concrete cave, our eardrums are toast”. Yeah he was right. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun toasting my eardrums though. These people don’t mess around when it comes to worshiping God.
