Well we’ve left Canaan and are back in Santo Domingo now. I’m not gonna lie I had a hard time leaving. Canaan is an amazing place. Most people speak English there, so I was able to really talk to people and I made some good friends. I hope that God allows me to go back someday. God is doing a great work there. As I said before, Canaan isn’t really and orphanage. It’s a community of people that live and work together. They have learned how to lay their rights down for the sake of the body. It was a great learning experience for my team and I. To have unity in our team there can’t be any selfishness going on.

It was great to see the fruit that can come out of this kind of sacrifice. The people of Canaan have a passion for reaching out to the community around them. The weekend we left they were hosting a carnival for hundreds of young people as an alternative to the Mardi Grass festival that was happening the same time. They also have a huge passion for the sick and hurting. They spend a lot of effort on malnourished children, and they run a clinic out of Canaan too. My heart will always be with these people.

This is Jean Wesley and Stephenson. By far two of the coolest guys I have ever met.
