Hey friends,I am going to give you a brief review of what has been going with me physically, spiritually and mentally….Oh yeah, ITS DAY 50!!!

1.Physically: Well playing soccer every weekend has been such a great experience and is getting me bachonestlyo shape again!! I have also been learning how to break dance from Alex (A DTS student here at the YWAM base) and he is learning contemporary. Most of yall know that if Mikkala doesn’t get enough sleep, boy is that day going to be rough. And that’s just what happened about to weeks ago when I was doing the traditional thing around 8p.m and dancing with Alex, when we were attempting a new and challenging stunt, and I swung into a table and pulled a ligament in my left foot.(#doesMikkalagetabreak) We went to the local hospital/clinic and was 3 hours later(really testing Mikkala’s patience that is) put in a cast for 10 days. All of yall know I am Ms.Busy Body and taking it easy is not, I REPEAT IS NOT, a fun thing for me.It was for sure a tough thing to get past especially since our squad debrief was the next day. And guys what?! 9 days later Mallory amd I cutthat sucker off!!  “No pain, No game”

2.Mentally: Processing is something I am learning to grow in. I have learned to process things myself and then process those things with my teamates.

3.Spiritually: Boy have these 50 days been a roler coaster of spiritual growth. Being in the hospital twice, loosing a close friend and the constant spiritual warfare has definitely made it easy to want to go back home, back to my comfort zone. I have looked up so many plane tickets, but the next morning God would remind me “Mikkala, it’s not over it”. Knowing it’s not over and God still has a much bigger plan for me has kept me going.Allowing myself to open up completely and surrender myself fully to Him has made my life take a 360° turn and learn to put my full trust and faith in God’s marvelous plan for my life.

Speaking of plan…God has opened a new door for my future after the race, and has given methe full YES to go for it. After the race, in July(let me remind you my race is over in May) I will be traveling back to Guatemala to pursue more of God has for in ministry. I have decided to do a program through YWAM, which is DTS, Discipleship Training School. 3 months of tearing down walls, and preparing for the other 3 months of outreach( traveling to another country and doing ministry).

Please continue praying for me as well as my team, for our journey is NOT over !!
