Dear Family and Friends,
I have been given a wonderful opportunity to go on a mission’s trip called The World Race. I will be a member of a team that is part of a much larger movement. We will be traveling to 11 different countries in an 11 month time span. While in these countries I will have the opportunity to interact and help many different people from many different backgrounds and cultures.
My goal through this trip is to not only help in assisting and serving others through tangible service, but to show God’s love as we work to help make their communities better. We plan to be going to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, China, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Romania, and Ukraine beginning in September of this year. When it comes down to it, Jesus laid down a very simple “religion” for us. Love God, and love others as we love ourselves. Deciding to go was pretty easy for me, paying for it however, is a real challenge.
I want to first ask for your prayers as I am going through the process of preparing for this life changing journey. I ask that you not only pray for me, but also for the whole team I will be taking this unique journey with. Pray that we may be open to learn from those we will be serving and that God will be able to use our team to share His love and touch the lives of others. Please pray for our safety throughout our trip. I expect there will be obstacles as we endeavor to go and love people in these countries. We believe that with the prayer of our family, friends, and supporters this will be a successful mission.
The second reason for this letter is to ask for help. I would greatly appreciate your financial support. As I embark in this endeavor, I along with my team members have a goal to raise at least $15,500 each to make this trip possible. If you would consider making a financial contribution, please fill out the attached form and send it to Adventures in Missions in the envelope provided.
