Hello, my name is Michael Clevenger.
So I’m updating this page 14 months after coming home from the world race [wow how time flies!]
The World Race was extremely impactful. It shifted and awakened many desires that would have taken a lifetime to surface. If you’re considering going, DO IT! GO!
I left plans for worship school, sold my equipment and left it all behind for the sake of something greater. The World Race broadened my perspective in every way possible and has lead to beautiful growth and kingdom moments. One of the biggest things I walked away from, experienced, and imparted is the revelation that Jesus fully reveals God; that Jesus is perfect theology; and that YOU are radically loved by Him. There is no dark side in the heart of God. His disposition towards you is kenotic [self-emptying] love.
I’m 22 years old, an Orthodox Christian, a journey that began on the World Race through experiencing various expressions of Christianity and reading Church history. I’m a vegetarian [was not on the world race].
INFP.
And now post-race; full time student & Barista.
I am studying Sustainable Agriculture Development and biblical studies/Eastern Orthodox Christianity
Interests include: Eastern Orthodox Christianity + Lives of the Saints + Farming + Sustainable Development + Peacemaking + Christian Social Ethic + Burritos + Coffee + Activism
I hope to one day start an Orthodox Worker Movement in the spirit of St. Maria of Paris.
