Isn’t it cool!?!
Before I jump in, I first want to thank everyone for the prayers and the support that I have been receiving thus far. I am truly thankful for each and every one of you investing in this journey with me.
Let me tell you about myself…
I was born and raised in Michigan, and I am a true Michigander at heart. I am currently attending Indiana Wesleyan University and studying youth ministry which I absolutely love! I love that someday I will have a job that incorporates my two favorite things: God and youth! When I am not doing homework or studying, I am normally avoiding it by hanging out with my incredible friends, playing soccer, taking pictures, or hammocking (yes, it is a verb). I love anything and everything that is spontaneous and I love going to new places.
Random (maybe even pointless) facts about myself:
- I can quote The Office like it’s my job.
- I find great joy in being behind a camera.
- I’ve been playing soccer since I was five. Challenge me to a game. I dare you.
- My freshman year of college I made oatmeal and it exploded.
- I have the most amazing friends, and that’s a fact.
- I can probably eat more ice cream than you.
Let me brag about my family for a bit…
I have two incredible parents, and saying that I have been blessed is an understatement. My dad (Dale) is THE funniest person I have ever come to know; he is a child at heart. My dad has such a calm and patient spirit. The passion that my dad displays for Jesus is truly inspiring to me and has had a huge impact on my walk with Christ. My mom (Kim) is just amazing. My mom embodies wisdom well. My mom is compassionate, loves to listen and provides incredible insight. I love that she is my mom! I also have an older brother named Chad, and let me tell you, he is a gem (yes ladies, he is single, but he also has a protective sister). Chad is a servant who always gives more than he takes, and he has a kind and genuine heart. My family is fantastic, and I haven’t even began to talk about my grandparents yet!
Let me tell you about my God…
Guys, God is so good. The things that He has been doing in my life the last couple of years have been mind blowing. God has shown me the beauty of walking in obedience with Him, and the beauty in which we get to respond to Him. He has been revealing to me the importance of surrendering all, and that a life worth living is a life that is completely surrendered and obedient to Him. That is the life that I intend to live.
