For each country one of my blog posts will consist of “honest captions” I will upload a few photos and write the honest caption for it, instead of an Instragram worthy caption that can often times change the meaning of the photograph.
Here’s India –
I don’t have any idea who this man was, but he sure was excited when I raised my camera up to take a photo.
This woman couldn’t speak any English, but she stood up tall and pointed toward my camera, so I took her photo.
This girl boldly walked up, stuck her hand out, and said “money?” a couple of times and then ran off with a smile without me even saying anything. She then came back and started posing for photographs and never asked for money again.
“Selfie” has become a word known all around the world. Sometimes it’s not even for a front facing photo true selfie. Sometimes it is used simply to take a photo of the strange white people they see walking around.
This was a random click out of the back of the auto, it just happens to look artistic.
There is at least 15 piles of poop on this street, I’m just not sure if it’s cow, human, monkey, or dog… but I did step in a pile of what I hope was cow poop one night in the village.
Another random click that happened to turn out thanks to the time of day, and a little bit of Lightroom magic.
After this woman kissed my feet she followed us to the next four houses. We don’t know if she wanted more prayer, to be acknowledged, or was just fascinated by our group, but she was so excited when I pointed to my camera asking if I could take her picture she took off her glasses and got too close for my lens to focus at first.
