So much has happened since I last posted a blog.
I did not go to Guatemala, and instead I helped coordinate the team that did, including dropping and picking them up from the airport. By the time I picked them up they had become my little babies and I was so proud of them and could not wait to hear the stories from their trip.
They climbed mountains, not as a small group of 6 but in multiple groups, with locals, other missionaries present and even little kids who had to be carried part of the way. They were shown what it means to truly grieve when they went to visit a family who had just lost a loved one, and then shown complete love as the grieving family served them tea in an act of hospitality.
It has been so long in fact that I am now sitting in coffee shop California, enjoying a long visit home.
I graduated from CGA, the apprentice program I was attending this last may and have some very exciting news!
But first off I will share with y’all what my summer plans are. I will be spending my summer all over the place making for a whirlwind 2 months of June and July. I will be co leading 5 trips over the summer, one in Chicago, Nicaragua and 3 in Appalachia. These trips are part of the Encounters department in AIM and will be a variety of trip, including youth groups and families.
I do need to raise funds for my trip to Nicaragua, $700 in total. I have already raised $500 for it, if you would like to give to this trip or my very exciting future adventures, please click the support me button on the top left of this page!
Okay now for the exciting news!
Starting this fall I will be part of the leadership team for Worship track, in the CGA department!
Worship track is what I was a part of for the last 8 months and where I grew the most. I now get the chance to play a part in the growth of incoming apprentices for the fall and spring semesters of CGA 2014-2015.
My official title is Creative and Administrative coordinator. This crazy mix is something I discovered over the last 8 months, not only am I creative (I’m pretty sure anyone could tell me that) I am also very administrative in nature, not something that many people know.
I am very excited to start this new journey and really step into theses new leadership roles.
Like I mentioned earlier this new adventure requires funding. I will be on staff, which means I am now support raising for my salary! If you would like to partner with me on this new adventure please let me know! I will be sending out monthly support letters, so if you have not subscribed to my blog please do so and I will shoot you an email with my newsletter!
