I will be posting a blog each day for the next 6 days, expounding on details about each country that my team and I will be visiting to spread love to. I am hoping to partner with 1 person each day for the next 11 days to support me at $100. Would you be willing to support me as I head to South Africa?

11 months in 11 days: South Africa

Location: Southern tip of Africa

Capital: Cape Town is the legislative capital, Pretoria is the administrative capital, and Bloefontein is the judicial capital, while the Constitutional Court sits in Johannesburg.

Population: 55.9M

Fun Facts: ~The Bloukrans Bridge on the Western Cape is the highest commercial natural bungee jump in the world at 709ft. (Sounds AMAZING)

~Between May and July each year, millions of small silver fish migrate to warmer waters as they depart from South Africa’s Cape Point and up the coastline. This is called the Sardine Run and is visible from space!

~South Africa has 11 different national languages, each share equal status.

~South Africa has hosted the cricket, rugby, and football(soccer) world cups. The only other country who has been a host to all three of these events is England.

~The second largest brewing company in the world is in South Africa. SABMiller was founded in 1895 and more recently merged with Anheuser Busch, which produces some of the most popular beers in the world.

Although apartheid has ended, there is still very much pain and segregation in South Africa. Because of widespread segregation and racial injustice, most people outside of the big cities live in poverty. South Africa is often overlooked as a place that deals with poverty because it has such big and beautiful cities such as Cape Town and Johannesburg. Due to the fact that these cities themselves have booming economies, people forget about the rest of the country. People live in pain, hunger, and in sickness. Just like many other southern nations in Africa, HIV/AIDS is a major issue here. My World Race squad and I will be partnering with various ministries across the country to help people who live in these terrible conditions, working to help feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and heal the sick. I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to visit this place, as South Africa is one of the many countries that I have dreamed of visiting for many years now. I am happy to be able to mix my passions of both service and travel to go here.

Thank you for reading! As I stated at the beginning of blog, I am looking for 1 person today to sponsor me at $100 and to support the lost in South Africa. I am currently at just under $6000 raised and need to be at $10000 by the end of September. I would feel so blessed to receive your support during this season, so if you would be open to donating to support me, scroll to the top of the page and click donate. You can also donate via Venmo(@MiiggySmalls) or on PayPal([email protected]).

Please keep me in prayer as I continue to work towards support raising and while I am headed to South Africa to spread the love of Christ.
