About Michelle.

Gosh where do I begin? Well I am 26 years old. I was born and raised in Lousiana. I have 2 loving and supportive parents. I have 1 brother and 1 sister in law (both of which are in the military so shout out to them) and they have given me the cutest niece anyone could ever ask for.

I guess I will share with you all part of my testimony. The reason I have such a strong desire to go out into all the world and share the love of Jesus.

I grew up in a catholic church, so from a very young age I knew about God and about Jesus. Around 7th or 8th grade I started going to church with some friends from school. The first or maybe 2nd youth camp I remember going to the theme was mount Kilimanjaro, a mount range in Africa. So all the small groups were countries in Africa and I was in the group Uganda. That week I feel in love with a country across the world and knew I wanted to go meet those people. As I grew up I became very selfish. I cared so much about myself i was striving to be perfect so that everyone else around me would think as great about me as I did myself (or maybe I didnt really feel great about myself and was trying to be perfect so that others would let me know what I really thought if myself wasnt true). Either way my thoughts were almost 100% of the time on myself and how I could be better and how I could be “perfect”. Then one year I went on a mission trip to New Orleans where we were loving on the homeless. I met this guy whose name I dont even remember, but he was homeless, he had NOTHING but yet was so full of joy. Through talking with him and him actually sharing the Gospel with me I realized how much I was focusing on myself instead of living my life for Jesus and others. That night I prayed to Jesus and decided to stop the best I could being so self centered and gave my life completely to him. Almost instantly my eyes were open to all the people around me, and God put a strong desire on my heart for people snd cultures. I remember shortly after telling people that one day I would go to the countries no one else wanted to go to, to the forgotten and over looked people, I would go there and tell them about Jesus. I am so incredibly thankful that the World Race is giving me the opportunity to go and do just that.

A little bit more about myself is that I love to travel, and spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy reading, coloring, and sleeping.

I hope that through this new journey I am about to embark on and through these blog post that you will get to know my heart as well as my heavenly father’s heart.

If there is anything else youd like to know I would love to talk with you! Just comment or send an email or a message and I will get back to you!

Thank you so much for taking time to come to my blog and to read about me!
