I asked Albanian students today what was something that they were looking forward to?  The group agreed that they are looking forward to life at university. They think independence is something to long for. They think life in an university abroad will be better and more fun.

I remember longing for those sweet college days. I also remember how some of those college expectations and longings didn’t happen. Then I think back to these kids, what will satisfy them when all their expectations and longings fall short? When they finally reach this place they dream of and they realize it is not as good as they thought?

Maybe for some, those questions will not come.  But I pray God will pursue them and open their eyes to His satisfaction and purpose.  With Christ, life is worth living. He’s the reason I can keep going, fighting and loving. He gives my life meaning.  Even when expectations fall short, God gives me hope and a future.

God gave me a mission so I don’t have to wander aimlessly.  On Sunday, Pastor Barry said that the smallest of prayers are significant in God’s kingdom.  For some crazy reason, God invites me into His story and He uses me to make supernatural impact.

It only takes a spark to get a fire going.  And then all those around can warm up in its glowing.  That’s how it is with God’s love….

Thank you, Jesus!
