Happy Thanksgiving!! Today is different from other Thanksgiving days, because first I’m in Honduras and I’m missing my dear ones. Still, I am counting every blessing. So here’s 10 things I’m thankful for today:
- I am thankful that God chose and called me on this mission to Honduras and more
- For cool breeze on my face
- For friends who ALWAYS calls me a beloved nickname
- For my body which can move, walk, climb and run (when I make it ??)
- For my mind that can think and then speak
- For Jesus who is tender and always holds on to me through hurts and healing
- For worship and Christmas music on my phone
- For God’s generosity to me and being pretty much fully funded
- For colorful pens and new books
- For naps and coffee
There‘s so many more things that I could list. Above all, I am so grateful that Jesus is my Savior and is constantly Advocating for me. I am also grateful for my P-squad family.
This morning, As a squad we picked out rocks to remind ourselves to be thankful. I came back to the house and read about the Holy Spirit. Read and meditated on Isaiah. Then I took a nap. (I love naps!) Then for lunch our cook fixed us beans, rice and hot dogs. And now, I’m at a coffee shop. I was able to talk with family and see their lovely faces!
Tonight, I will meet more World Racers and have a Thanksgiving dinner with all of them. Again, this day looks so different than pasts but I am counting EVERY blessing.
Love ya!
