As I mentioned before this week has been full of laughter.  Just fun moments of silliness and enjoying my team and the people here.  Whether it is Meagan’s theatrical antics, Hannah’s serious looks, Jillian’s innocent charm,  Sarah Ann’s singing or Becca’s quick wit, I am always laughing! (I know surprise surprise!)

Last night, I think I laughed the hardest.  But then I think about the night before and realized I can’t judge it.  One night I am being called a giraffe in the most affirming and loving way with a couple of my team lifting me up in prayer for my ‘giraffe’ neck. Another night, I am told I can never be a toe only a thumb at best! Lol

Needless to say, my cackle can be heard almost anywhere.

Then this morning, I wake up with a sore throat and headache.  I don’t think I physically laughed hard enough to cause it… but maybe it was close!

I don’t think Satan likes my laughter and connection with my team though.  I think he uses anything he can to kill, steal and destroy.  So right now, he wants to steal our happiness and our health.  He wants to bring me down.

Today, I slept.  I read a book.  I let my teammate down by not going to a museum.  I took another nap. I went with a few teammates for Nutella crepes.  I took medicine and drank juice.

I am realizing that even with this sore throat, I have joy.  My physical body may ache a little but it is NOT going to bring me down.

So please pray for my health and my team’s health.  Pray for my team and our joy, unity, and purpose here in Albania. Pray for protection against the enemy’s schemes so that we can do what God has purposed for us to do.
