I am in the hotel. I repeat. I am in the hotel.
Today is the day that training camp begins. This is it. The time is NOW. I am slightly reserved, observant, and struck with a burst of shock and anxiety every so often. I’m ready to jump in and figure it out. As of now, I am hours away from heading downstairs to check in. We will be at the hotel until tomorrow afternoon when we leave to Gainesville, GA to the actual training camp. I began preparing for this journey in January so it is crazy to think that it’s already here. I’ve been blessed with generous givers these past six months that I am now only $857 away from being FULLY FUNDED! Can you believe it? All the things on my packing list are checked off. My bags are FULL! Am I bringing too much? Too little? I have no idea. Looking forward to seeing what these next 11 months will bring. It won’t always be rainbows and butterflies…its compromise that moves us along. (Sorry, that song by Maroon 5 was popping up in my head and I HAD to write it). Thankful for the last year and a half that I got to grow while in Michigan and for the people I met. Y’all are awesome! I loved being able to spend time with my family…love you guys! This past month that I have spent back home in Texas was amazing! It was a blessing seeing people show up time after time in coordinating the silent auction, packing, praying, lots of dinners and laughs. It has all been really special. Now that one door has closed, another one has opened. Thank you to my friends and family for allowing me to create this space to find out who God is and who I am. I am praying that I may see God’s miracles in real life. Praying for tangible, real life God experiences. Please continue praying for me, my squad mates, and the people that we will meet along the way. I am interested in what lies ahead and am going to try and be ALL in!
