Just a quick update- yesterday I had my Silent Auction Fundraiser and it was really successful! We were able to raise just over $3,000 towards funding my trip! My overall amount fundraised is now $15,820 out of my goal of $19,900. You guys, I did not think this was possible when I started fundraising in January but its just been amazing to see people and their gracious giving these past few months. It was fun to see the many familiar faces of family and friends that came to the Auction to show their support. Also, a big Thank You for those of you who donated pieces for the auction items. We ended up having 70 pieces to auction off! There were many people involved in making this happen. Again, I really appreciate your time and efforts! Now that the fundraiser is over, it is time to start getting everything together. It is starting to get real and the days are quickly passing by. I spent all of today in recovery mode. I was sick and laid in bed most of the day. Tomorrow I’m hoping I can get back to normal and I’ll be making steps to get my bags packed and buy the rest of my gear, clothing, etc. Now that the auction is finished, the countdown begins…16 days until the World Race!

–Safety on my Journey (Pray for the safety of: me, my squad mates, and the people we will meet along the way).
– Smooth Transition (Moving from Michigan to Texas, then Texas to around the world. I hope I am able to take the time needed to fully process what my life looks like now and what it will look like a few weeks from now).
– Praying for Provisions (I would love to be fully funded before I leave, that is my goal).
