After much prayer and consideration, I am excited to announce which route I will be joining for the Word Race! Before I list the 11 countries, I would like to share that choosing what route to commit to was a challenge. I have been clearly called to the World Race, but I began to question which specific route God is calling me to. After listening to a talk on vocation and calling at my local church in Phoenix, I realized that God gives us many assignments in our lifetime and sometimes God calls us to just show up and allow Him, in His own timing, to prepare us for the specific assignment He has called us to. I have prayed, talked to God, and thankfully realized that this ministry opportunity is not about choosing the right route, but preparing my heart to answer His calling to simply “GO” and be ready to show up and be used by God wherever He may lead me.
So in the theme of surrender, I have surrendered trying to choose the right route to commit to and have prayed that God will prepare my heart to simply show up and be used by Him, wherever He may lead me. With great joy and excitement, I am pleased to announce that I am currently committed to Route 3 of the World Race and will be leaving for 11 months in January 2017.
I will be on the World Race from January 2017 until November 2017, serving in each of the 11 countries for a month at a time. I will be headed to Georgia for 10 days in October 2016 to participate in training camp for the World Race. During this time, I will be preparing mentally, physically, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually to take on 11 months of ministry. This will be the first time I get to meet my teammates and begin the bonding and preparation for leaving in January 2017, our exact launch date will be provided a week after training camp has ended. I am beyond excited to meet my fellow “worldracers”!
Here are the countries I will be going to:
India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Botswana, Swaziland, and South Africa
If you have any comments, questions, or interesting facts about any of the countries I will be visiting, please leave a comment below or send me an email.
Please pray that my heart will be completely surrendered and open to hear God’s calling for wherever He may lead me. God has given me continuous reminders of His faithfulness as I prayerfully walk through the beginning decisions and logistics of the World Race and I am beyond excited to continually share with you what is happening.
My next blog post will be more about how you can specifically support me. I humbly ask each one of you to begin prayerfully considering supporting me financially as I raise funds for the World Race. Once again, thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. May this adventure of a lifetime to simply “GO” and serve the least, the lost, and the lonely be all for the kingdom of God.
Love,
Michelle Cupp
