I’m off and beginning the new adventure of Alumni squad leading!!
40 days is a short amount of time to rest when you’ve lived an exhausting but incredible 11 months. But God is faithful and its time to take on His next adventure for me.
My time at home was filled with rest, eating all the good foods, running, rain, reconnecting with friends and family, Cannon Beach, processing my race, and working. I can honestly say that the transition home was not too challenging. I found myself filled with gratitude for the comforts that were added back into my life along with the relationships. I seriously treasured the alone time too!
So here’s the details for the next adventure! I am flying to St. Louis today to meet up with my squad mate and co-leader for alumni squad leading, Sylvia! We will be road tripping through Nashville, to Richmond, and then finally to Gainesville, Georgia where we will meet up with our beloved S squad for PSL.
I will spend January 5th-7th at my squad’s re-entry workshop and then on the 7th I start alumni squad leading training!
The 12th is when my new squad begins arriving to Atlanta for launch! Then on the 16th we head to the Atlanta airport where we fly to Dulles and board a plane to Ethiopia and then after a short layover fly to Ivory Coast where the new adventure begins!
The excitement is definitely building and I know that these upcoming 5 days of road tripping with dear friends will give me the much needed time to process my time at home and prepare me for meeting my new squad!
THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has been a part of this short season at home! I feel so loved and so cared for by so many of you guys and it’s a beautiful thing to know that I have so many people in my corner!
One of the COOLEST parts of going back out has been the overwhelming amount of support I have received from all of you!
From announcing alumni squad leading a little less than a month and a half ago when I was still on the field to now you guys have helped me raise $6400! THAT IS FRICKEN INCREDIBLE!!! Words don’t do this justice or give God enough glory and credit for His faithfulness to provide through all of you! You have helped a miracle take place and a bold prayer be answered! THANK YOU so much for choosing to be a part of furthering God’s kingdom. Thank you for investing in my life and the lives of those I get to now reach because of all of you!! I only have $100 until I am FULLY FUNDED for Round 2!
Sometimes I just sit and get overwhelmed with gratitude for the life God is allowing me to live for Him because its more than I could have ever imagined it to be. At 22 years old, I’ve experienced the world and have learned so many incredible and valuable life lessons and I get to go back out and learn some more!!
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for not once, but twice sending me overseas and supporting me! I am excited to keep you all updated as the new adventure unfolds!
Here’s to more kingdom adventures and epic stories!
Expect to hear from me upon leaving the United States/arrival into Ivory Coast!
May you all have an incredible start to 2018! Happy New Year…it’s going to be a GREAT one!
Until Next Time,
Michelle
