Albania has been an incredible month and it is so sad to say that it comes to a close in the next two days! I spent the month with team R116 in Pogradec, Albania. Lookup this place on google images, it is BEYOND gorgeous! We spent the month on lake Ohrid, which is one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, it’s a pretty neat lake!

This past month we partnered with a ministry called Christ For the Nations, which is a Bible School in the heart of Pogradec. We came alongside the interns and staff members of this wonderful ministry and worked alongside them. The majority of the team worked on odd jobs around the school, while Keeley and I devoted our month to Physical Therapy. It has truly been such a blessing from the Lord to get to pair missions with physical therapy. God knew exactly what he was doing.

These past five months I have been working on surrendering the future and the timeline of when God will send me to get my Doctorate of Physical Therapy, so I can be a Physical Therapist and use it to further the kingdom both in the States and overseas. It has been a long and painful process of giving it completely to God, but so necessary.

Halfway through the race, God has PT not only show up, but be the main ministry focus for the month. To add to God’s incredibly perfect timing, I got to share this experience with my great friend and teammate Keeley who has already gone to PTA school and knows so much! Helping educate and lead different people through PT has been an incredible experience! Together, Keeley and I got to pour into so many staff members and members of the church not only through offering PT, but having incredible conversations. This month has left me so filled up and excited for the future.

God continues to show me that as long as I pursue Him wholeheartedly, He will provide an epic and abundant life. Many people believe the lie that they can’t pursue their dreams and live a life completely in pursuit of God. I believed this for a time, but God has clearly shown me that as we give him our desires and listen to his plan for our life, both can come into alignment and greater things are accomplished because of it. Through the pursuit of God and giving him my deepest desire for PT, I got to experience a taste of what God has promised me for the future.

God’s got an eternal perspective on our lives, while we only have a very short view. I’m thankful that God continues to pleasantly remind me of this.

Thanks for following along! More blogs to come soon!

Until Next Time,

Michelle
