It’s hard to believe that month four of the race has come to an end and that team changes are happening. Yesterday was our final day as Team Ahava Chara. There have been so many laughs, solid conversations, and great memories made over these past four months.

Below you will find a photo of each one of my fabulous teammates and a little snippet of who they are…through the eyes of Michelle. Enjoy reading up on each one of these beautiful friends. These ladies are gems and I am excited to watch as they join new teams and the Lord grows them with other squad mates.

To my sassy, fearless, joy filled teammates, THANK YOU for being vulnerable, willing to have hard conversations, and find joy in the little moments. You will forever be my favorite team of weasels!

Becca Bronson aka BB: Something between super sassy and intellectually brilliant sums up this girl. Becca loves books, deep conversations and likes arguing whether or not Adam and Eve were vegetarians before the fall (lol). Becca is a fellow coffee lover, one of the most compassionate people I know, and possesses so much wisdom from the Lord. Becca is a joy and a dear friend that I am beyond thankful to have spent four months with! Thanks Becca for all of the sassy comments and good laughs, lets continue to be friends?

Katie Sparks aka Beyonce Shark: Katie is BEYOND talented musically and will have an album coming out after the race (speaking that over you)! Katie has used her gift to bless us and everyone she has played for, but music isn’t what makes Katie such a gem. Katie is beautiful, bold, passionate, and knows how to love everyone right where they are at in life. Katie is a friend to all and brings so much life and laughter to everyone’s day. It has been such a fun four months getting to navigate the beginning of race together! Keep being the Beyonce shark you are, dear friend! Katie my fondest memory with you is still at training camp when you couldn’t get off of the chair. Thanks Katie for being genuine and spunky with me these past four months!

Mikayla Pearson aka Mikay-kay: Mikayla is unique, unique in the absolute best way! Mikayla sees the world through a different lens than most people and blessed all of our lives by sharing it with us. She is creative, artistic, and genuine in the way she interacts with people. Child-like, weirdly sassy, coffee fanatic, and friend to all are a few ways to describe this rare friend. Mikayla and I got to start our friendship back in the PNW over a year ago!! Thanks Mikayla for speaking truth into my life, pushing me to be vulnerable, and always being ready for an adventure, I love you dear friend!

Jessica Ganci aka Jess Jess: The first memory I have with Jessica is when she ran up to me at training camp and gave me a huge hug when I first arrived, Jess made me feel so loved and welcomed. To this day, Jessica is the most passionate and loving friend I have met. She feels for people so deeply and connects with their stories in ways that are incredible. It has been an absolute joy to journey alongside this sweet friend and sister. I can always count on Jessica to be down for a good doughnut or ice-cream, such an important quality in a friendship!! Thanks Jess for an amazing four months of fighting for what God has for each one of us!

Keeley Knie aka Slithery Snake: Beyond sassy is an understatement for this sweet friend! Keeley is so full of joy and life! She is deep, passionate for the kingdom, and a great listener. There are so many promises being sown for this lovely lady on the race and I am beyond excited to see how they play out! Keeley is a dear friend and I have been BEYOND blessed to spend these past four months with her. Keeley is a great friend to have and hold onto! Thanks Keeley for the amazing chats, sweaty workouts, second and third rounds of icecream, movie nights, and sass filled conversations. Keep slithering your way through the race!

Leah Broughton aka Leah B or Thick Gurl: Leah is the sweet southern girl everyone wishes they had in their life.  Leah is wise and has a genuine heart that makes you feel loved and known. Peaceful, full of joy, loyal, and a friend to all are all words that describe this fabulous girl. Also, Leah you have one of those really great smiles (million dollar smiles)…I don’t think I have told you, but I have always admired your smile (lol). Thanks for being my fellow thick girl, teaching conversational english together and always bringing so much joy to my life through our conversations. Love you and the friendship that has been sown through out these four months!

Change ultimately is a good thing, but it’s hard in the moment. Letting go of this team is bittersweet. May each one of you continue to grow, adventure fearlessly, and pour out over the ends of the earth. I’m a walki talki chat away from each one of you! Love you awesome weasels so much!

XOXO,

Michelle

Enjoy a little walk down memory lane from these past four months of Ahava Chara!!
