Meet S Squad! These are my people. 57 uniquely created and called brothers and sisters in Christ. Men and women, who are ready to answer God’s calling and live outside of four walls of the Church and love unconditionally all around the world.
One of the biggest truths I finally understood at training camp is that God isn’t calling us to GO for 11 months, but to GO for the rest of our lives.
I’m not supposed to go serve on a mission trip for 11 months, do some great deeds, build my faith, make some great friends, and then go back to my normal life. I’m called to begin living missionally for the rest of my life. What does this mean? It means living in community with fellow believers and walking in unconditional love that changes lives. It means sharing Jesus through words, actions, prayers, and conversations everywhere I go. It means building up and pouring into other people for the kingdom, making disciples of disciples. Living missionally means bringing the kingdom to the places we live, study, work, and play.
We all have the ability to live missionally and its exciting! My prayer for everyone who reads this blog, is that you would experience Jesus and His unconditional love for you and it would change your whole life. I pray that communities would begin forming that live missionally for Jesus and those already formed will continue to thrive.
Training Camp was exactly what I needed to align my heart with God and begin truly living in His freedom and truth. I am thankful for these 10 days and will continue to press into the lessons and truths I learned.
Before closing this blog, I am excited to announce to you that I am on a team of seven absolutely amazing and beautiful ladies!
Meet Keeley, Mikayla, Jessica, Becca, Leah, and Katie! I am beyond excited to start the World Race with them and see how God unites us as a team and calls us to serve in India!
Thanks for sending me to Training Camp, where my world was rocked and my heart opened wide to Jesus’ love and freedom. The bucket showers, crickets for breakfast, and dance parties were some of the funny highlights from training camp. I am beyond excited for January and living missionally with my team and squad of 57 all around the world! God has BIG plans for S Squad and I am excited to watch as He uses us to further His kingdom on earth!!
The World Race will be an exciting beginning to a life lived fully for Jesus (missionally), but there will be so much more that comes after these 11 months. There will always be more with Jesus and that’s why life is so worth living.
Love and Blessings,
Michelle
(P.S. I have a few prayer requests for my faithful prayer warriors-
- Prayer for focus and perseverance as I finish my Biology degree up, I’m struggling to stay focused and committed to my studies.
- Abundant provision that only comes from God. Pray that I would be fully funded and then some by December; pray for my specific number of $3500.
- Pray for my heart, as God continues to heal and transform it for His glory and this upcoming year. )
