For the past three weeks we have been in a little village called Magowi in the southern part of Malawi. So much has happened in the last three weeks I don’t even know where to begin.

Pastor Dunkin was our Pastor and he is also the Director of the high school in Magowi. Him and his family welcomed us into their home and took very good care of us. They were so welcoming and such a blessing to live with for three weeks. While we were with them we were invited to teach Conversational English to a couple of the classes and we made ourselves available if any of the students wanted to ask questions or just practice speaking English.

Pastor Duncan also arranged a conference for the pastors in the area and each of us had the opportunity to speak to them about what the Lord had been teaching us and share a bit of our testimony with them. That was something that was really hard for me. I am not a huge fan of public speaking. But I got up there twice and said what I thought I needed to say. I get so nervous that I don’t remember anything that I said afterwards but I think it went well. It will be ok if I don’t have to do that again for a while though.

After the last church service that we were going to be able to attend there were a few people that asked us to pray for them before we left. They all had different physical ailments and they all got healed when we prayed for them!!!  One of them was an older man and he was having pain in one of his legs and he said that first it was one leg and then the other and the Lord revealed to Meredith that it was a problem with his back and that was making his leg hurt so we prayed for his back and his leg and when he stood up he said all the pain was gone!!!  That’s the first time I have been there when the Lord has healed someone instantly.

We also had the opportunity to teach at the student Bible study / Youth Group on Wednesday and Saturday nights. The students there had a lot of good questions about talking to God and the power of the Holy Spirit and it was really fun to see them get excited about that. Our team had the opportunity to bless them with Bibles for the school library. When we got there they only had the New Testament in English so the Lord made it possible to bless them with Bibles in Chichewa and English. Now they can read the word of God in their own language and they have the Old Testament available.

We are moving on to our next ministry sight now and we will still be in Malawi for the next two weeks or so but I do not know what we will be doing yet so I will keep you posted.
