I am staying at a church in Chincha Peru and I usually wake up to the goats yelling for thier breakfast at about 6:00am. They’re my new next door neighbors. I try to love them…
Everybody line up! Its time for your daily bucket shower. There’s thirty of us so you better get up with the goats or you won’t get one:) Please visit a blog by my friend Rachel for a guided tour of the bathrooms. http://rachelhunt.theworldrace.org/index.asp?filename=and-you-thought-peruvian-cribs-was-funny-haha-watch-this
Here is my new home away from home. Surprise! The inside of my tent is a mess so I won’t show you right now. Maybe when I get organized. If I get organized.
I’ve made my first trip to the Market. You can get a whole chicken for about a dollar. Not the supermarket that I’m used to. Though I have found one of those too.
Here’s my team. We are eating lunch in Lima.We ordered chicken soup and it came with chicken feet in it! I think we got a chicken neck as well. Mmmm… Chicken neck.
This is just a little glimse of where I”m living I will let you know more about what we are doing here in just a few days. I love you all and thank you for your support. I can really feel your prayers.
All of you who are praying for me and my team if you could pray that the rest of the finances that we need will come in that would be awesome. Some of us have all of our support but if we add up all the support that my whole team needs we need $100,000. If one team member doesn’t raise enough support they will have to go home at some point before the race is over and we are all praying that doesn’t have to happen. Thank you all so so much for your prayers. I love you all.
