One month.

That’s all the time we have in a country. Sometimes I wonder and question if I can really make a lasting difference in that short amount of time.

So often I think BIG. DreamBIG. So I want to see BIG.

This month in Nakuru, Kenya I realized the power in the SMALL. In power in the ONE.  It doesn’t always take reaching the masses- just reach the one.

Team Chi Rho has been partnered with a ministry called Bliss Women & Children that provides opportunities for women and children who are living in extreme poverty, are abandoned, orphaned, internally displaced, widowed or living with HIV/AIDS.

Esther is the founder of this organization.

At a revival service last Sunday night Esther went up to share with the church what the Lord was doing in her life. With tears in her eyes she thanked the team for changing her life. Through the way Kate, Julie, Jill, Katie, Kelly and Sarah love like Jesus and allow their actions to speak louder than their words- gave her a new perspective on what it means to live a passionate life serving the Lord. For so long she was doing “good works” but was missing the true relationship with the Lord. That night she rededicated her life to Christ. The fire has been ignited in Esther’s life in a new way.

This difference in her life will transform her family, Bliss Women & Children, the poor village of Kaptembwo, and the city of Nakuru. The entire country of Kenya can be forever changed through Esther.

This is all from touching ONE person’s life- in less than a month's time.

I don’t want to miss those seemingly small things that happen throughout the day. Moments that may seem mundane to us could be a defining moment for the person right in front of us.

Make an impression on one person’s life and the world can be changed.
