Completely crazy…..completely God!!! So leaving Bucharest,Romania, it took us over 170hrs of travel to reach our first destination in Northern Malawi. 66 people LIVING on a bus for that long. Eating, sleeping, fellowshipping, bonding, sweating, trying to stay sane in 100+ weather with no A/C in the bus haha!! But because of God’s love & unity in the body of Christ, no one killed anyone. There were barely any arguements or disagreements. Not much complaining at all. Everyone living in unity with one another, packed in like sardines. Having to pass through 4 different Africa borders after we arrived by plane in Johannesburg airport. Each border took about a day.God is good, all the time! He uses these circumstances to strengthen our faith and perseverence!
Malawi is known as the “Warm heart of Africa” and now i know why.Always smiling, always ready to pull out a wooden chair in the dirt for you, always ready to help and say hi or shout “Muzungu” (white person!) from 50 feet away while waving!
God has been teaching me so much about FAITH.We read in the Bible how He & His disciples healed people, & ive been seeing it firsthand here.How can your faith not grow when you experience this firsthand.God is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow…so of course these miracles happen still today!
Matthew 9:35-38, 10:1 “Jesus went round visiting all the towns and villages.He taught in the synagogues, preached the Good News about the Kingdom, and healed people with every kind of disease and sickness.As he saw crowds, his heart was filled with pity for them, because they were worried and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.So he said to his disciples “The harvest is large, but there are few workers to gather it in.Pray to the owner of the harvest that he will send out workers to gather in his harvest. Jesus called his twelve disciples together and GAVE THEM AUTHORITY to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and every sickness.”
He gave his followers HIS AUTHORITY! It wasnt his disciples who had the power to heal, it was Jesus Christ. And so with that same power & authority, my team and i have went out this last week to about 12 or more villages. Each village has so far welcomed us in,fed us mangos, & have been very open to hearing the Good News preached. We have had a chance to sit for hours and get to know them, hear their stories, and many have come to us in faith after hearing the message of the Gospel, asking to be healed of many different diseases, physical problems, and many practiced witch craft and were possessed by many demons. In Jesus name we prayed over each person and casted out the demons. At least 10 people had demons casted out of them, in Jesus name! To hear different voices come out of them and to see their bodies convulsing as we pray over them in Jesus name……hard to explain in words, but its real & the same God who created the Universe & each one of us…is of course powerful enough to cast demons out. Because Gods word says that the demons shutter at the name of Jesus Christ. Because there is no other name under Heaven that holds such authority!
We met a man named Josiah & his grandma Kosta in a village. His grandmother told us that her 39 yr old grandson had been mute for over 18yrs. Never spoke anything.He would shake or nod his head to respond to people. The grandmother knew Jesus Christ personally, but Josiah did not. We shared the gospel with Josiah, and he accepted Jesus. Right after he accepted Jesus as his Savior, we prayed in Jesus name that he would be able to speak again & that Jesus would heal him.We gave him the Bible and i began to read Psalm 139, sitting next to him.A minute later, i heard him reading outloud with me!!! He was reading God’s word outloud!!!!! Speaking for the first time in 18yrs!!!! Josiah had the biggest smile on his face, and his grandmother Kosta was rejoicing!!!!! Praise Jesus!!!! It was such a joyful moment!!! He stood up with me on the top of the hill and shouted “Thank you Jesus” with me several times!!! (i have a picture of me & him, so ill post it when i can)
We met a women who was lame & she couldnt walk. She wanted to walk to meet us at our church service, which was several miles away from her house, but physically she had experienced leg pain for many years. We prayed in Jesus name for Him to heal her legs.The next day we saw her, several miles away, at our church service!!!!! God had miraculously healed her legs and she didnt even need a walking stick like she did previously!!! God is so amazing!!!! we are heading out tomorrow to go share with more villages…please continue to pray for us!! Thank you. God has kept me healthy & safe & im growing so much & depending on Him more than ever before. And yesterday we got to swim in lake Malawi…it was first “shower” i had in a week and half.
