Those Moments…

When you are overcome with emotion and it feels as though time is standing still and you know you are exactly where God intended you to be in that moment.

Here are a few of those moments from the year…

In Australia a mother holding her daughter for the first time in a long time.

In Malaysia, saying goodbye to 4 girls we hardly knew but were so sad that we were leaving because they just liked our presence.

My friend, Joy – from Phuket, Thailand – a bar owner. She lives and works 12 hours away from her children so she can provide for them. If she is lucky – she get’s to see them once a year.

My friend, Susana from Tanzania wouldn’t take her hands away from her face when I was saying goodbye. Then the translator said, “She wants you to take her with you.”

My dear sweet friend, Roxanne from the Philippines. I was able to see her her saddness turn into pure JOY.

I just happened to be walking down a children’s hospital hallway in Kenya and Connie walks up to me and says, “Hello, I’d like you to meet my daughter Jacinta.” As I painted Jacinta and Connie’s nails I learned that she has never sat upright – she’s 26 years old. Her one desire is to be able to go to school one day.

These are just a few of those moments I wanted to share with you all.
 Love,
Michelle
