I
may have had a divine appointment. I definitely know God showed up. Our teams were sitting in a park in hopes of
meeting people and being able to invite them to the church we are working with
here in Romania. Jenn and I sat down next to this lady reading a magazine. We
tried to start a conversation and she spoke a little English! Her name was
Veronca. We struck up small conversation and talked about her daughter Barbara.
She was the most precious woman. All
three of us laughed a great deal when we came to points where language barriers
got the better of us. We found out she was sick. She has lupus and is in and
out of hospital every seven months. I could tell it was a huge burden in her
life. We asked if we could pray over her and she said yes. After we prayed she
said thank you. She knows God is big and then started holding back tears and
walked away quickly before we could say anything else. I wish we could have
talked longer. But I think God spoke something in to her on that random
afternoon. I’m praying for her each day. I was able to get her e-mail address
so I hope we can stay connected. It may seem like a little things…but I serve a
big God!
It also makes me question though. What if we were open to telling others about God everywhere we went. What if we woke up each day watching for moments for God to use us. We might just get more than we can imagine.
