I know who stands behind
The God of angel armies is always by my side
The One who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine
The God of angel armies is always by my side
My strength is in Your name
For You alone can save
You will deliver me
Yours is the victory
Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?”
These are the lyrics to the Chris Tomlin song “Whom Shall I Fear”
If you haven’t heard this song, I suggest you check it out. It is so encouraging and uplifting.
This song is the inspiration for my blog today! I first heard this song the end of last year, and immediately fell in love with it. It was in January, after deciding to embark on the World Race, that this song became a reality to me. I was driving in my car one day and I knew that this would be an encouragement to me in the next year in a half or so. As I prepare for the Race and get on the field.
The last 2 to 3 weeks, let’s just say the enemy is not only telling me lies, but yelling them into my head. And being the fleshly human I am, I began to believe them. The lies centered around my ability to finish this season before beginning the next season of The World Race. This resulted in sleepless nights and laying awake pondering on what the next day would hold, for 2 straight weeks. So I spent lots of time in prayer, on my knees, and seeking the Lord. I believe these nights were the Lord trying to speak to me, and reveal Himself to me. I am still waiting and listenig for Him to speak to me and help me understand why this season is so challenging. After getting some much needed affirmation from a few very Godly individuals, I began to understand that this season is nothing compared to what I will experience over the 11 months in the nations. I know that God is preparing me for the work of His Kindgom and pruning me!!
Over the last few weeks, as the Lord has been working in me. The lyrics to this song have offered peace and comfort to me, in the darkest nights of my life. But I can honestly say that I am doing much better and been sleeping for 3 nights now. Praise The Lord for His renewal and peace!! This season is proving to be very trying but I know the next will be a whole new level of trying. I pray the Lord continues His work in me. Making me the Woman of God I need to be for Q Squad.
So in short:
Whom or What Shall I Fear?!?
NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING!! NOTHING OF THIS WORLD, FLESH, LIES, SIN, AND ESPECIALLY THE ENEMY!!
If you are having a hard season, I pray for God’s army of angels to surround you right now, and begin to bring peace and healing.
Update on Support:
$5,455.44
This means I am a third of the way in support raising. I am at Training Camp and working towards $6,500 by Launch in July. This includes the support of my church First Baptist Church Matthews.
Ways I am raising support:
I am having a bake sale on Sunday April 21, at First Baptist Church Matthews to raise funds. And I am in the process of having t-shirts printed. They are designed and now waiting to receive them. Selling the shirts for $20 each, and will have a $1,500 profit, after selling them all.
Check out this link to see the design of my t-shirt.
