The Lord continues to provide for me and give me exactly what I need when I need it.  This past Sunday I went to the local Christian Book Store to browse the Bible section for a new Bible.  My bible is literally falling apart at the seams.  I went into the store with 3 requirements: ESV, red lettered, and something compact to take on my journey.  After checking out the inventory and what there was, I found the perfect one.  It was ESV, red lettered, compact, and a nice red leather bound Bible.  I went to the counter to ask about the price and the cashier began to look at it.  She said she had the same one at home and that I could have it.  So she mailed it to me and it arrived on Wednesday!!  I had a divine appointment that day with the Lord and He showed up to provide what I needed.  May God bless that lady!!  I was also able to give her a support letter and share with her about my trip.

It is Sunday February 3, 2013 and since I have the official support of my church, I began this morning sharing in Shepherd Groups.  At First Baptist Church Matthews, we meet in these groups, aka Sunday school, to build relationships, fellowship, have community, and grow in Christ together.  This past Monday I had a really hard day and was discouraged.  I called a good friend Lindsay Dobner and she immediately got me back on track.  With her encouragement I got on the phone and called every Shepherd Group leader to ask about speaking in their groups.  I scheduled to meet in 8 of the 20 groups over the next few weeks.   Immediately my spirits were lifted and on track to share about my mission.  Friday after work I went to my dad’s to have dinner and went online to check my support.  To my surprise my total was $1,510.00!   I had gained 4 more supporters and given above my imagination.  So I am almost half way to my first goal of $3,500.00 for May.  Praise The Lord!!  He continues to renew my spirits and provide in numerous ways!

I had the honor of speaking in 5 of these groups this morning and the Lord meet me in every one of these groups.  I spoke to couples, single adults, widows, widowers, and most importantly potential ministry partners.  They were ALL very open and willing to listen to what I had to say and share with them.  May I say thank you to all of the Shepherd Groups that I shared with at FBCM this morning.   The Lord gave me the words to say and the boldness to ask for financial, and prayer support.  Without your prayers and support this mission is not going to be possible.  The Lord has surely blessed me with a wonderful church family and their obedience to missions.
