I come to you as I am spending my last week in Nsoko,
Swaziland and have 3 days of ministry left.
My time here has been so wonderful and I have seen how much light there
is among the darkness.  Each month
ministry has been so unique and different but my time in Nsoko has been my
favorite.  The reason for this is from
the fruit that I have experienced in 3 weeks.
It hit me the most on the second day of ministry when I was harvesting
with 2 other teammates.  This is a time
to gather veggies from a local garden and to disturb them to 10 surrounding
care points, where children are fed on a daily basis.  After this day, my heart was captivated at
care points, house visits, and by the smiling faces of the children from birth
to 25 years old.

Among all the light and life that is here, there is an
entire generation missing due to high amounts of HIV and AIDS. This means that
many children are left orphaned, taken care of by “Gogos” (grandmothers), or
left to take care of themselves.  I have
experienced this firsthand during my time here. In the first week of December,
we visited a lady with cancer who no longer has any means to care for herself
or her 2 children.  The next week, she
was at a point where she had a week to live and just lay limp wherever she
was.  Then, on Saturday December 14,
2013, she passed away and was buried the next day by her family.

She is leaving behind 2 boys who are 17 and 9 years
old.  In the matter of one week, these
boys became orphans before my eyes and are now left to fend for
themselves.  I was told that the oldest
would take care of the youngest and AIM staff would check in on these precious
children of God.  My heart is full of
faith in God’s Divine Plan for His children and that in His goodness He will
take care of them.  The saddest part of
this whole story is I never knew the lady’s name- just that she was Andiswa’s
mom.  I ask you to come alongside me to
be in prayer for these precious boys and for God’s faithful hand to be with
them daily.

My heart has been full of many emotions these past 3 weeks
and this particular story is one that will come with me off the field, to share
about how powerful and faithful God is.
It is a story of how He revealed Himself to me and of His love for His
children of all ages.  From life to death
in Swaziland, I have seen God working all around me in so many ways.  He is also working in and around your life;
take a step back and you will see Him all around you.  As always, thanks for your continual support
and prayers to make this journey possible.
God has done so much in the first 6.5 months and I know He has so much
more for the next 6.5 months.  This
lifestyle has become so normal and I have been blessed with much fulfillment
serving the Lord in the nations.  I am
grateful and thankful that I stepped out in obedience to the Lord’s calling on
the World Race.  These 11 months are only
the beginning of the rest of my life serving Him, wherever He calls me!
