Just a little insight to the World Race and truly allowing
the Lord to show up to move, things are always changing on the World Race. This is not a negative thing but it is just
the reality of signing up for this journey.
Q squad has experienced many changes and unexpected obstacles along our
route. The most recent has been in
trying to retrieve our India visas.
During the month of October our logistics representatives and a squad
leader spent the month working on getting these visas. Let me just say among the struggle to gain
these visas, The Lord has abundantly provided and we have all been granted our
visas. This was not until November 19,
2013, and due to this process we didn’t have our passports. Without passports we couldn’t travel to our
month 5 country Swaziland and have been posted up in South Africa for 2
months.
Spending 2 months in South Africa was unexpected which meant
we didn’t have a place to stay within our $5 a-day budget. I wrote a previous blog about how a squad
mate found Manna church on Google and they abundantly opened their property to
us. We arrived Saturday November 9, and
will be staying until Friday November 29th. In this time we have been utilizing our tents
and camping on the property. Our time
and days have been filled with helping out around the church, in whatever way
we can. Ultimately we were waiting for
our India visas to process and to make our move to Swaziland to begin month
5. Being as how late in the month it is,
a decision was made for us to stay in South Africa and move to Swaziland for
month 6. We will no longer be going to
Mozambique, due to unrest in the country currently.
Details for our route are still being worked out and a way
for us to still go to 11 countries but if not we will have done #10n11. I have learned so much this month and
learning to see how BIG God works.
Learning to trust God’s plan and knowing His timing is best for all
things that work together for His good.
I have been amazed at how beautiful His plan is, how He plans my life so
early and everything comes together for His glory.
BTW: This is an ode to Hannah Olsen, a staff member at
Adventures in Missions, who taught me the infamous ‘It’s the World Race’ song
and dance. It is amazing how God brought
us together over Thanksgiving last year at the Dobner residence in Indian
Trail, NC.
I AM FULLY FUNDED! Thanks for your continual support and prayers on this Kingdom Journey. Take a look to the left side of my blog to see my new Team Leo.
