The last couple of weeks I have been getting over a sinus infection and even took a sick day last week. This year’s pollen has gotten to me unlike never before. It was like one morning I woke up and a green monster had visited. This particular green monster causes sneezing, sore throats, headaches, nasal congestion, watery eyes, and feeling like straight up crud. On top of the sinus infection, I had a very busy weekend and in much need of rest. I had the opportunity to hang out with a good friend in Waxhaw Friday evening, Saturday afternoon attend a baby shower for a Caswell friend, Needtobreathe concert Saturday pm (basically my favorite band), Sunday am share at my home church United Love Baptist Church in Midland, afternoon with my dad, Awana Sunday pm, and ended weekend with the kick off of a revival at my church this week.
This week started off really good but I was exhausted from the busy weekend. There were many blessings this past weekend and it started with spending the night Friday with my good friend Madisson Wisher, to share life and how each of us are doing. I have known Madisson since high school in youth group and we have become the Women of God we are together. We have laughed, served the Lord, cried, traveled, and lived life together in the USA and far apart. I love her very much and she is a true blessing from our God. Saturday afternoon I attended a baby shower in Midland for Sara Rowsey and it was a great mini Caswell reunion to catch up with her and Courtney Kay Reynolds Satterfield. It was great to visit and share about The World Race with them and some of their family members. Uncle Gary even bought a t-shirt! Saturday night I went to the needtobreathe concert in Charlotte at the Music Factory. They are my favorite band and this was my third time seeing them since 2006. I saw them my senior year of high school on a college campus in SC with about 50 other people. Sunday morning I was able to share at my home church and it was such a blessing. It was like going home and I had such peace sharing with many who have known me since I was born. Their hearts were open and ready to receive what I had to share with them. They blessed my with many gifts, prayers, and blessings to send me out. Spent the afternoon with my dad and Madisson, at lunch. Awana Sunday night was a true blessing and the boys are getting rowdy with only 2 weeks left for the year. Following Awana was the beginning of a 4 night revival with a guest speaker and music minister from Arkansas to lead us. He has definitely gotten us at FBCM out of our comfort zones and to look at ourselves and each other in the body of Christ. I know that he has gotten my mind going and thinking about what my role is individually and as a body of Christ. I pray each member who has been present has been rattled and taken a look at their identity in Christ.
Each night this week I have been attending these services at my church and I have been completely shaken to look at myself in the Lord. Worship has been incredible and completely renewed my soul. This finally brings me to how the Lord gives us exactly what we need, when we need it. Spiritually I have been renewed this week and on Wednesday the café that I work in was closed, due to inability to operate safety. I was able to sleep in and catch up on personal rest. Just what I needed was a mental health day!
This weekend I am having a bake sale at FBCM this Sunday morning to continue raising support. I am praying for great results and for preparation to go smoothly. I will also be selling my t-shirts and praying for boldness to share my heart with all those open to listening.
