It has only been a day before I met Miriam this pretty nine year old girl. I decided to go for a little walk to spend some time with the Lord. So I just starting strolling down the dirt road and ran into Miriam sitting on the corner of where I was staying. I felt the Lord tell me to go speak to her so I did. We ended up speaking about her and her family and I asked her if she liked reading and she said yes. So I asked her if she would like to go read with me under a tree. She said yes and so we started to walk and the Lord told me what tree to go to, so I asked her what tree she thought and she picked out the tree the Lord picked out. I sat with her and talked to her about her family and then I asked her about the bible and asked her if she liked it. She said she did and that her favorite book was Genesis. I asked her what part and she said Genesis 1:1 and I said why she said because God made heaven and earth. The way she said it was so sweet and the tone in her voice when she said it was so innocent. It just stuck with my heart. God always starts every country off so awesome!!! These are my favorite parts of divine appointments that He brings that I just love! So we sat there under this beautiful tree in AFRICA reading Genesis together. What more could you ask in Africa on a beautiful sunny day. Then another teammate came up and sat with us and we ended up talking and meeting some other children and we started to play soccer in this field with them. I don’t play sports and would not consider myself a sporty type, but the more I come out of my shell and do it for fun its great. I enjoyed spending my time with these kids and making them laugh and smile and I had so much fun watching Miriam come alive and play with other children and see her beautiful smile come out.
