Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
About Me
Hi Everyone!!! I’m Michelle – I am 27 years old and am currently living in Denver, Colorado. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and have lived in Colorado pretty much my whole life, and I absolutely love it! I am a compassionate person that enjoys being there for anyone and everyone that needs a shoulder to cry on or just wants to talk or pray with. One absolute passion of mine is children (they always do the trick and bring a smile to my face). I have a pretty BIG family that I absolutely love. A little sister that is 11 and so precious to me. She loves to hang out with me all the time. My little brother is 8 and also hangs on me. He is so active and wonderful to be around. I have a sister that is a few years older than me, but most people think we either look nothing alike or they think that we are twins. One blonde and one brunette, but no we are not twins…. She has a daughter and a son and they are my bundles of joy!!! The little girl is eleven and she is so talented, she has a twelve grade reading level and she has a wonderful gift of artistic drawing that she is absolutely magnificent at. My nephew is a cutie pie- he likes to get into everything and even though he is only four he looks like he’s a little football player. I also have three amazing step sisters!! I have an astonishing mom, step-dad, step-mom and dad. I have two absolutely fantastic grandparents; they have been around for me and my sister for our entire lives!!! I have wonderful friends that I love and care about so much, and the best part is that they love Jesus.
I am currently working full time with an insurance company and almost full time in school. My Major is nursing and I am only a few years into the program and have a few more left. I never in a million years thought I would be going to school for nursing, but the Lord put in on my heart very strongly when one of my favorite uncle’s passed away of esophagus cancer, so unless the Lord shows me that he wants me to do something else than I will continue striving to get my nursing degree…… Oh and that’s the other thing I love — being obedient and listening to the Lord. I am ready to take that next step and giving up everything for my Father! The Lord, Father, God is the most important thing in my life and I am very excited to follow the path that He has called me on. I have never left the country with strangers, but I am looking forward to getting to know the people on my team and enjoying what the Lord has in store for us on this exciting adventure! I know there will be struggles that we experience throughout the year, but relying on the Lord is the most important thing we could ever do, and as a whole in the body of Christ we can do all things through Him.

Things I Enjoy Doing
I am the type of person that would love to try everything at least one time. The last few years I have really started enjoying the outdoors. I love to spend as much time in God’s creation because it’s so gorgeous….I love to hike and run. One of my goals for 2008 before this Missions trip is run a half marathon and then a full one. Also, another desire that is on my list of things to do before I leave is to learn how to rock climb and I’m actually going this weekend to try it in a climbing gym. Skiing is another outdoor activity that I enjoy! I love to spend hours at a time with the Lord you can never get enough of our father!!! I love meeting new people and the Lord has brought so many new and wonderful people in my life the last year and it’s been truly amazing … its breath taking!!! I love to crochet baby blankets for new comers and bless little babies before they enter this world, I also love to knit scarf’s and give them out to special people that the Lord wants me to give them to. I love to eat Mexican food and watch movies and really like playing card or board games…. I just love life, people and The Lord, Father, God.
