This month we spent our time at a ministry location in Dar Es Sallaam, but we left on our Sabbath’s day and went to another house for resting and honestly it was amazing!!! I had the most enjoyable time there and felt like I was going out for battle and then coming back and getting filled up and then going back out there for more. The women that we lived with not only were women that we ministered with, but they became our friends.
Sophia and Her Husband that just recently Got Saved!
We learned how to cook certain foods that they make, we washed dishes, washed our clothes by hand and even at the end we sang with them at choir practice. All the women were around my age or a bit older accept little Gracey. She was 15 years old and just an innocent as can be. She is not related to the pastor and her husband but they are going to adopt her when she is done with school. She has had a tough life her mother and little brother both died during birth and her father is Muslim and has several wives and she chose not to live with him, but is living at the house we stayed at with the pastor and her husband. The pastor’s daughter Agnes said that little Grace is just like her younger sister. I have seen how she is treated at that house and there is so much love and that is what she needs is love and Gods love. She was always there after a hard day of ministry. I would come in the doors from a hard day of ministry to this beautiful little girl running up and putting her arms around me and not letting you go and just smiling. Every time this would happen I would say “Thank you God for blessing me with this.”
Grace and Her Husband From the Church!
The second to last night we were there we had an incredible night with all the women and we decided to serve them and wash their feet and it was incredible. We not only went around and washed their feet but we read John 13 where Jesus washes the disciple’s feet at the same time. After that we prayed over each one of them and gave them any words that the Lord gave us for them and gave the pastor a love offering and a couple of gifts that we bought them for us staying there. Their reaction was amazing! There were tears, but tears of joy! Not only did we get to minister to the people surrounding that town, but we got to pour out on the women that we lived with too that were from the church.
Emanuel and Joshua and their Mom!
Some of the pictures are the women from the house and from door to door ministering around the town that we did. Each one of them have a different story.
