Mexican Food!!

We were so incredibly blessed last month in ministry. We Stayed in Dar Es Sallaam, but on our Sabbath days we left and went to stay with a Christian family that was absolutely superb! I have not felt that much peace since I have been home. It was sad leaving the first ministry location, but so sad leaving the second family also. The Lord really answered our prayers as far as to find a place to rest on our Sabbath days. I mean just leaving the ministry location was very chaotic trying to get through crazy amounts of people and then get on a bus that would last sometimes an hour to get to the city, but when we got to Mammas and Pappas it was like breathing in fresh air. It was worth every traffic jam and crowd!

More Mexican Food!

So I don’t even know where to begin with this wonderful family. The first day we arrived they treated us like we were kings and queens they let us relax and made us a bar- b-que dinner and it was so amazing! We have not seen so much meat in months! The first night I sat on the couch and talked with Mamma just about life and her family background. She was saved when she was 15 years old and Pappa her husband was saved when he was 25. They lived in Kenya and lived in a village with their families before they were married. They both are intelligent and have a couple of degrees in Marketing and have made a life for themselves. Poppa and his family moved to Tanzania because of his job. They have this beautiful home off the beach and they are using it for Gods glory. They loved having visitors come and stay there and rest. Not only is this a place for them to pour out into others but I felt like I could pour into them.

Momma and Poppas family!

They have a beautiful little girl named Rosa and two sons Nathaniel and Noah. The two boys are at boarding school and little Rosa stays at home and is attending school for a couple of more years and then she will be going to a boarding school also. The more we came to their house the more we spent time with their family. The last weekend before we left we decided to make them dinner to bless them for everything they have done for us. It was great! We made them a Mexican dinner with chocolate brownies and sat at their dinner table eating together. It felt like family!! After eating we all sat around the TV and watched the Saturday night movie which was Facing the Giants together. I am a family type of girl so this was the biggest blessing for me and God answered my prayers because I felt like I was at home. I watched how their family interacted with one another and it was really neat to watch and see how a family treats one another when their focus is around the Lord. You really see the true love that a family does or should have towards one another and the people around them. Every conversation and moment I had with this family was meaningful to me!
