I am currently in Atlanta and will be leaving on Sunday morning for Guatemala. I cannot believe that this journey is really beginning. I'm not sure I fully believed that this day would actually come. It still feels like at any moment someone is going to announce… "JUST KIDDING, here's your plane ticket back to Texas." There is no doubt about it… It is TIME to get this thing started!!!!
They have encouraged us to write a blog post before we leave so that we could remember what we were thinking and feeling right before we began this adventure. I have considered sharing about my expectations, fears and excitement; however, there is something else that has been on my mind in my heart.
Honestly, all I have been able to think about these past few days is how incredibly blessed I am. I have been surrounded by the most incredible community of friends and family. I have been able to experience Christ's love and grace in the most incredible ways through the lives of these people. I don't know how I could go on a journey like this if i did not have the support, encouragement, and provision of my friends and family.
You guys, I am now FULLY FUNDED. I am absolutely humbled and overwhelmed by how the Lord has blessed me in this way through these amazing people in my life.
So this is what I would like to be reminded of in a year from now. How The Lord used all of these amazing people to build me up and affirm me in this calling. How He has used them to shape my life and reveal more of Himself to me.
Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for me and supporting me throughout this process! Prayers are appreciated as we are heading out to the world on Sunday!! I am so excited to share about what The Lord is doing in Guatemala!!!!
