Well … I am currently sitting in a hotel in San Salvador, El Salvador and our bus for Nicaragua leaves tomorrow morning at 5:30am!
  Wahooo!
The past week we spent in Antigua, Guatemala doing random things here and there.
Team B spent a couple of days working at a school and then several others spent a couple of days in a children’s hospital as well.
Even though I’ve been somewhat sick these past couple of days, the pace here has been much slower and our days have been a little more relaxed for the most part.
The first three nights we were able to stay in a small church in the center of the city and then our last two nights were spent in a cute little hostel a couple of blocks away.

The highlight (as you might have seen already from the video) from this past week, however, was our day trip up to Volcan Pacaya.
One of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced I think.
Although the climb up there was pretty ridiculous and I thought I might
die several times, it was all definitely worth it.
The view was incredible and we were able to view the sunset
above the clouds at the top of the volcano.
There was even a point where they pretty much told us not to stand too long in one place because the heat beneath our feet might melt the rubber on our tennis shoes!
  Yikes!
At points, we were only several feet from the lava flows (and we even
roasted marshmallows over one of the lava vents!)
I would definitely recommend it the next time you get the chance!
  Hot magma!
  Wahoo!

Other than that, I am looking forward to finally being able to be in one place for a significant amount of time.
We will be in Nicaragua for about another week and then finally Costa Rica for close to a month.
It will be nice to be semi-settled and get significant ministry time in.
It’s been harder than I thought to be on the move so much from place to place.
Yes, I know that is what I signed up for, but I’m definitely excited to spend some quality time in one place for awhile.

One of my teammates, Mallorie, just posted a great blog for team prayer requests – for those of you that are interested, you can check out her page at malloriemiller.theworldrace.org.
As for me, pray for continued health as I try to get over this cold of mine and for safety in travel these next few days.
Not sure exactly what we will be doing in Nicaragua during our time here, but you can pray for that as well!
Ha … not much detail there, but that’s ok.
Thanks for keeping up with me and thanks again for all the love and support you give!
