Growing up he never touched the stuff and his heart had become passionate about helping those who were alcoholics. To the point of helping out and leading meetings and just before he passed away it was his passion to go and help and start it in the church as well.
Just because you go to church does not mean that you will not be an alcoholic. Plus, if you know much about church it is great for getting people into church. By loving them where they are at. Not where we think they should be.
My heart and prayer for each of you reading this is that you would seek out the people who are hurting. Whatever their hurt is, and love them where they are at with no expectation or agenda, but just to love. To love with the love that Christ puts in us.
His word tells us to go. Not to sit and make that pew a little warmer, but to go to love! To be lights to the
world. So stand and walk in God's love and glory.
Wouldn't it be better for people to know you are lovers of God by what you do and not by what you say.
How beautiful! How wonderful the hope the world would have if we had more people fighting with love, for love.
