Hello Friends!! Greetings from Kenya!
So…we finally made it to Africa!! I’m still working on my last Cambodia blog plus a video but internet here is not great. I wanted to send out a quick update about our ministry this month. After a few days of recuperation we made it to our ministry site. This month our team is going to be staying in Nairobi and working with Deliverance Church Lang’ata. We are staying at the pastor’s house.
Our ministry is quite diverse this month. The church built their sanctuary in a place where there was nothing as far as residential properties, but within the last few years many have popped up just feet away. We have been going door to door the last 2 days to share the Gospel and invite new tenants to church. My teammate Kelly is my partner and we have had the opportunity to share the Word of God as well as pray with many people in the buildings. We also will have the opportunity to share the Gospel with a group of young boys. They tell us that there will be 700 of them there!! This Saturday we will be conducting a service for a group of 120 supermarket workers. It is mandatory that they attend lol. Ashley will be sharing a testimony and I will bringing the Word! J
On the 16th we will be hosting a Children’s Fun Day where we expect more than 100 children to attend…should be fun!! We will also have the opportunity to the middle school kids about the Bible…in their public school! We definitely have many opportunities this month to share about the redemptive love of Christ. God has been challenging me to step out of my comfort zone! So…that is what I’m going to start doing J I love you all and pray you are enjoying this new year! See ya in a few months J
