Hello hello!!
So many of you have been asking when my squad and I depart from the United States…well, your wait is over! Yesterday morning we received our official launch date.
On September 13th I will be leaving New Mexico and headed towards Los Angeles!! From there we will be traveling to our first destination: the Philippines!!!!
A few other notes:
Thanks to everyone who has bought Threads of Hope bracelets! I have made a little over $1,500!!
Also, thank you to everyone who has sent in a donation. It means so much. I was blessed on my birthday to receive a couple of donations from people I went to high school with. We are facebook friends but that’s about it. I wouldn’t even go as far to say we were even friends in high school. It was such a blessing though. I pray God’s many blessings over each and every person who has sent in a donation or said even one prayer for myself or my team. Consider adopting our team in your Sunday School class, church, small group, or even book club! You can find out more info here. Support raising is going well! The World Race encourages us to have at least 60% of our budget raised prior to leaving in September. As of today, I have just over $8,500! (which is 60%!) I still have to raise another $5,800 by the end of the 6th month (February). If I do not have that much raised, they will be forced to send me home in the middle of the race. I know that God has prepared and provided this far and He is faithful in all He does! In addition to that, I’m also allowed to raise an extra $1,500 to help cover international travel insurance, vaccinations, and travel to and from our launch point.
