Hello friends!
Just wanted to give you all a quick update before we head out to the jungles of Malaysia! Sunday after church we will be heading out for two weeks to spend time in a village out in the jungle. We will get the opportunity to help out and minister in several different capacities. According to our contact here in the city, the villagers don’t have much to do in the evening…so they reproduce! lol There are about 60 families in the village and about 200 kids! We may have the opportunity to teach them to read and write, play games, and teach Bible stories! We also could lead some adult small groups/Bible studies. Or we could be doing construction…again! This week we have been moving and painting and office space for our contact’s ministry. We won’t have any internet the next 2 weeks or electricity for that matter lol. As far as our sleeping arrangements go…we’ll either get to sleep in our tents, in bamboo huts that are pretty much tree houses, or in the church they have there. I think it would be pretty exciting to try one of the first too! At least it isn’t as hot here in Malaysia as it was in the Philippines. Or at least it isn’t as humid. I’m used to New Mexico’s dry heat and it’s pretty similar here. Please keep our team in your prayers. Pray for our safety as well as the health of our team. Erin is doing much better and seems to be recovering from the parasite she got in the Philippines. I have been a little sick this week and I’m hoping to not be sick in the morning when we leave. I think it’s just a head cold. Don’t worry Mom…I took some medicine 🙂

Sorry this blog is kind of short but it’s 1 am and I’m pretty beat…being sick doesn’t help either. On the bright side, today was our day off (sort of…we worked until noon) and then we went to one of the malls here. It was 6 stories tall and had every designer label I can think of inside it. Crazy! I would have stayed home but I needed to pick up a few things. Anyhow, here is a picture of the mall. Have a blessed week friends! See ya when I get back from the jungle 🙂
