Our assignment is to write a blog while here at training camp.  One paragraph.  One picture.   So here is a quick recap of my week so far:  Eastern European pita = yum…African ugala = not so much yum.  Georgia rain = cool breeze…Georgia humidity = salty sweat.  all day.   Getting in a plane crash and going blind for an hour = not as bad as it sounds…being led to safety by the contagious, paralyzed, and less-than-able-bodied = sense of accomplishment.  Being led in worship by Jonathan David Helser and his wife Melissa = amazing…finding out they weren’t staying the whole week = just a bit sad.  Crying out for the orphans, young girls (and boys) who are victims of the billion dollar sex trafficking industry, those dying of aids in Africa = motivating…seeing a pair of shoes (in person) once owned by a young girl (no more than 4 years old) from Cambodia who became of a victim of the sex trafficking industry = heart wrenching.  Knowing that I get to be a part of a group that is impacting the Kingdom of God……..indescribable.    Thanks for reading.  If you haven’t signed up for blog updates you can do so on the left hand side.  This means for those of you who have stumbled upon my blog, you’ll be able to get email updates every time I post a new blog.  You can also find ways to offer financial support by clicking on the support me tab on the left hand side.  Below is a picture of our humbling abodes.  I’m sure you are all wondering which tent is mine! Mine is the green brick one with a door, windows, a roof, and air conditioning! See you all soon!
