“You give me what I needed….even in the hurricane….even on my brightest day”
Yet another song lyric stuck in my head :0) Yet another love song to the Lord :0) He is so good! As I reflect back on life I can see so clearly how He has given me everything I needed….in good times….and in bad. The storms come and sun shines…..He gives me what I need! I remember this often as I prepare for The World Race. I sometimes feel like I am in a hurricane of things to do…and coordinate…people to talk to….money to raise….things to do! There are a number of things I need…..and still more that I think I need :0) But He supplies ALL our needs! He has called me, and I just know that He will supply everything I need to go. Not only for my sake (I know I will be changed and blessed by the experience)….and not only for those I will meet overseas (I know He has great plans to show them His love and draw them to Himself)…..but also for those who give along the way…..give love….give support…..give prayer…..give money or supplies….give their hearts! For those God uses to meet the need (all kinds of need), He will pour back a blessing into their lives. That’s how He works…..you can’t out give God. He loves to fill us up and keep filling, even as we pour ourselves out to others. He will give me what I need, and give you what you need, and give the next person what they need……that’s just how He does….
As you reflect back on your life, can you see how God met your need…..in sunshine and in rain? Sometimes we look only at one or the other. We can see God so clearly in the good times, but struggle to recognize that he gives what we need in the bad times too……or vice versa……we feel God give us what we need to make it through the difficulties, but go about our own way when things go well. How foolish we are to lose sight that He gives us what we need…..all the time….end of story :0)

In a previous post I mentioned that we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! Let’s be loud about what God is doing and give Him all the praise! We Glorify the Lord and edify eachother when we testify to the goodness and faithfulness of God.
