Did you know that God is trustworthy? Not trustworthy like man…… but REALLY trustworthy! It seems like an obvious statement….. and yet, we have so much trouble really trusting Him. How is it that He can be so deeply, endlessly, completely trustworthy, and yet, we don’t trust? All the ‘What if…’, and stress, and anxiety and fear and sleepless nights….. all boil down to us not trusting God. If we truly trusted that He is who He says He is and does what He says He does….we would have no cause for concern….. about anything. We would still plan and be wise, but we would do so with ease instead of freaking out.
I had a friend comment recently that ‘trust is built’. Even our trust of God is built over time. If you are old enough to read this blog…..you are old enough to have seen God lay the foundations for trust in your life over and over and over. He IS trustworthy…..that’s part of His character….that is who He is….. He is trustworthy every minute of every day and in every situation.
When the doubt begins to creek in….stop looking at the broken trust of man, and fix your eyes on the bricks of trust God has laid in your life….then step back and see the big picture….. a beautifully laid…. Hand crafted foundation of trust with which you can firmly approach all future situations….. and know you are standing on a trustworthy King.
World Racers are challenged to trust the Lord on a daily basis! Even before we go….we have plenty of opportunities to trust the Lord. We trust that He has called us and is leading us exactly where He wants us to be. We trust that He will provide our every need along the way. We trust that when we get there…. through we don’t feel equipped now….. we trust we will have everything we need for every situation at hand.
World Racers don’t just trust God for themselves, but they impart a sense of trust to others. Each person we encounter benefits from our trust of God in both practical ways and eternal. They drawn to our savior because He is who He says He is and does what He says He does.
Does your life point to our trustworthy savior? Are others drawn to Him through your life? Can they turn to you in times of doubt and be reminded of the trust God has built over and over? Ask for His help! He will make you a man or women who trusts in the Lord.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
