Passionful – the state of being full to the brim with Passion!
OK, you caught me…I think I made that one up.
I want to live a Passionful life! When we are passionful, we cant help but spill it out onto others around us! I am passionful about the Love of God and the desire for intimacy with Him! Its this love and intimacy that spurs me to share His goodness and kindness with others… to tell them they are loved and fought for… to show them where they can go to have life breathed into them, and living water poured over them!
Question 1) UUM, so where is it that we can go to have life breathed into us and living water poured onto us??
The Presence of God!
Question 1.1) UUHH…. So where exactly do we go for that??
Thanks to Jesus, its accessible anywhere! Maybe you have never encountered the “Presence of God” before and that sounds weird or scary… Maybe its just a distant memory. Either way… its awesome! Just ask God to show it to you, and He will! Set aside quite time, ask God for more of Him, start reading your Bible, or praying for others…then one day, while you are seeking Him, and spending time with Him (weather you feel Him or not, He is there)….His Presence will show up! It will!! There is nothing like it!
Question 2) Living water? What’s that??
It is water that can bring life to the dry and lifeless places in our hearts and lives. It satisfied the thirst in our souls and makes it so we never thirst again! It produces fruit of the Spirit that grows on us like a Mango tree. See ‘Purple Mango’ blog for more on that topic :0)
Question 3) Are World Racers Passionful?
Yes!! World Racers live in a constant state of Passionfullness! Complete self denial, and the throwing off of comforts and pleasures, coupled with constant interaction of the deep needs of others cause us to throw ourselves at the feet of Jesus and to drink deeply from the rivers of living water.
Question 4) What are you Passionful about? Are you keeping a tight lid on your jar to keep the passion from accidently spilling out? How would others around you benefit from your passionfulness ? – yes, I made that one up as well.
Maybe you are not feeling passionful these days…we all have those times! It often happens when we are not taking our ‘cup’ before the Lord and asking Him to fill it…again…and again… and again. We spend so much time looking at our circumstance, or our past, or longing for our future that we don’t get filled up for today! Let me encourage you to bring your cup before the Lord, and ask Him to fill it with more of Himself! As He does, the passion He put in you will come alive again, and you can be passionful for Him!
