Rich, purple linens, deep red and royal blue linens, golden and bronze too. They hang like curtains, encircling the special place I meet with the Lord. Let me draw them back and give you a glimpse into my heart.
When I worship the Lord, my whole body takes part. Even my innermost parts feel like they are leaping and dancing before the Lord. He knows the movement in my soul and draws it out as I lavish His gift back to Himself. I pour out my love as an offering, full of joy and love and great anticipation. These are my dancing times.
Then there are still times. Times when my whole body tingles, but stands still in awe of His presence. Times where I bow low, or with my face on the floor, basking in His great love for me.
Then there are the intimate times. The ones where He comes down and meets with me. Where I feel His arms around me and weep in His perfect peace. Where I long for Him to be all that I need, and He responds eagerly to be all that I need.
Then there are the anointed times. When there is no music, but the beat of my heart, and no thought apart from the Love of the father for whomever I am speaking with. Times where every word seems to proceed from my mouth by way of the Holy Spirit, and I can feel Him coursing through my veins. I feel alive, and invigorated. A prayer in each breath as I hold back my words to let His come forth. When I could burst with joy and give anything for the person I am talking with to know Jesus more. And as I am there, just a vessel, He is showing me more and teaching me new things about who He is and His great unfathomable love.
He meets with us according to the unique way He has fashioned and formed our hearts. Ask Him to unlock new places inside of you so that you can encounter Him in new ways. In His presence there is fullness of Joy. Step into it. You are invited! He is preparing a special place for you. A place to be with you, just you. Try something new….writing, drawing, running, reading your Bible, sitting, dancing, clapping, talking. Then expect Him to show up. Like a dinner party you have prepared….with invitations sent, and the table set, the host stands by the door, waiting to greet their honored guests. Tell the Holy Spirit He is invited, ‘set the table’ of your heart, and watch Him show up!
